Weddings

Your hosts, Julian and Nuala Hudson, offer a complete personal service to make your special day seamless.

Julian is the chef and can design any menu to suit your requirements, while Nuala takes care of everything else from the initial meeting through to making your day extra special, from ceremony to supper.

We can offer you several options for your special day. Our grounds are the perfect backdrop for your ceremony, either on the lawn or down by the river. It is the most romantic setting for the ceremony.

After the ceremony your guests can enjoy champagne and hors’d’oeurves while you have your photographs. Burgess Park also offers the perfect photographic opportunities.

Afterwards prepare for the sumptuous meal created by Julian and his team. Our chefs pride themselves using only the finest local produce with everything made on the premises.

Later on enjoy your chosen entertainment in our heated courtyard area and dance the night away.

When you and your guests are ready to leave we can organise taxis for the safety and comfort of your guests.

Julian and Nuala are here to guide you from the initial planning stage right through to the end of the evening. No request is too much; we are here to make your day perfect, in a perfect setting.

Booking

Try to book your reception as far in advance as possible to ensure you get the date you really want.

We offer complete wedding packages to make your day seamless. Please contact us to request a copy of our packages.

To book Burgess House, a non-refundable deposit of $750 is required upon booking.

Please note, we hold a pencil booking for 2 weeks after which the date will become available if not confirmed.

Seating Capacity

Burgess House can seat up to 70 guests for a formal sit down dinner or buffet. For a more casual occasion, we can accommodate over 100 guests.

Marquee

Burgess House also provides the perfect setting for a marquee wedding. We can seat 100+ in a marquee for a formal sit down meal or buffet. See marquee page.

Drinks option

Burgess House is fully licensed and offers a selection of drinks packages to suit all budgets. BYO is not available. Please contact Nuala to discuss. Bar closes at 1am.

Payment

Payment is due on the day of your wedding. Payment is by cash or cheque only. Credit facilities not available.
